The clouds formation types and properties are listed here briefly by which anyone can help out to understand the cloud formation types and properties easily.

Clouds  are a grouping of drops of water or ice that can be seen in the sky at different heights, colors, and sizes. Other components of clouds include dust, dry air, and other materials from factory gases that rise in the air and mix with clouds, due to the movement of air and the evaporation of water by sunlight.

Water vapor rises into the atmosphere and condenses due to the low temperature there, forming clouds. In this article, we will learn about how clouds form.

How clouds form?

Before starting to talk about how clouds form, it is necessary to get acquainted with the basic components and conditions that must be met to form clouds, namely: water, low temperatures, and the surface on which water droplets will collect to form the cloud, and when such conditions exist, how clouds form will be as follows:

[2 ] Converting water vapor to liquid water

The first step in how clouds form is evaporation , which is the transformation of water into water vapor due to the high temperature until it reaches the high atmosphere, and water vapor mixed with air can be transmitted up in several ways, including raising it to the mountain slopes, and with continued high Water vapor pressure begins to decrease, which leads to expansion of air and water vapor, and this expansion needs thermal energy and as a result, the air cools completely, but cold air cannot keep the water vapor so when the air temperature reaches dew point temperature the moisture inside the vapor becomes The water TS Wei 100% water vapor transforms into liquid water This process is called condensation .

There was a surface on which to collect water:

There must be a surface for the water droplets to condense, because the water droplets are so small that they cannot stick together to form a cloud, and these surfaces are called aerosols or condensation nuclei because they will be the nucleus or center of cloud formation, and the nucleus of the cloud consists of solid particles Diffused in the atmosphere, such as dust, fire smoke and pollen, bacteria in the atmosphere can be the condensation nucleus due to the force of their attracting water.

When water vapor condenses and falls on the condensing nuclei, clouds form but cannot be seen, and this is the last step of how clouds form, and begins to increase their size depending on the condensing surface size and the level of their height depending on the dew point temperature and the rate of precipitation that depends on the speed of the cooler temperature with Height, and the cloud can have edges to see through.

Types of clouds:

Clouds are divided into several types, depending on their height in the atmosphere and their distance from the surface of the earth. :

[1] Low clouds:

These clouds rise about 6000 feet from the surface of the earth and include stratus clouds, cumulus or fog, and are formed by low temperatures on the surface of the earth.

[2]Medium clouds:

As high as 8000 to 12,000 feet above the surface of the Earth, such as clouds of Altusters, and these clouds may turn into ice crystals at very low temperatures. High clouds: It may reach more than 20,000 feet above the ground, such as the clouds of Cyrus, and they are in the form of desert sands or close lines in the sky.

[3]Vertical clouds:

or cumulus clouds that are vertically starting from a height of 6000 feet and may reach a height of 20,000 feet, and are often loaded with rain. Cloud properties When looking at clouds in the sky at close times, it may appear to the viewer that they are moving, or that the size of them differs, or that the color of a cloud differs from the color of another cloud, and these are called cloud orcloud properties.

 Properties of clouds :

The properties of clouds  is mentioned in detail:

[1] Form:

There are long clouds and short clouds, and the shape of the cloud changes due to the continuous condensation and evaporation processes inside the cloud, and because of the presence of dry air surrounding the cloud that infiltrates into the cloud, this will lead to the evaporation of the cloud in that place and its expansion or dissipation.

due to the little influence force of attraction that keeps it high in the sky, high clouds are more mobile than other clouds because of their proximity to the troposphere.

The color of the cloud is determined by the sunlight falling on it, and because the water droplets have the same wavelength of sunlight, the clouds will appear white, and when the clouds are thick, they will block the sunlight and appear in gray.

A simplified home experiment can be done in which to clarify how clouds form, by bringing a clean transparent bottle with a lid, hot water, ice, sulfur sticks and a piece of dark paper, then the following must be followed:

[1]Place the hot water at the bottom of the bottle 1 cm high and move it around so that it does not condense on the sides of the bottle.

[2]Lay the cap cap upside down on the nozzle of the bottle and place the ice pieces on top, to cool the hot air.

[3]Ignite the sulfur sticks and place them inside the bottle with caution and close the bottle nozzle with the lid quickly, in order to enter the smoke into the bottle until the water condenses it as a condensation intention.

[4]Note the cloud that formed inside the bottle, and if it is not seen, a piece of dark paper is placed behind the bottle and seen, as the cap can be removed and let the cloud come out at that time, the cloud can be touched.

  1. Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice
from an established blog. Is it hard to set up your own blog?
I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out
pretty fast. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do
you have any ideas or suggestions? With thanks
